💼 We’re hiring: Sales Engineer
Fractory is transforming how manufacturing gets done, and we’re scaling the commercial engine behind our Europe inbound business. We’re looking for a Sales Engineer who can turn a flood of new enquiries into closed orders at high volume and high conversion.
This is the role that keeps the pipeline moving. You’ll own every new inbound enquiry, sign-up, draft and RFQ, price quotations across sheet metal, CNC and fabrication, and close deals fast. High-potential accounts you uncover will be handed over to our Account Managers to grow.
👉 You’ll operate inside a structured three-lane sales model alongside Account Managers (AM) and Business Development Representatives (BDR), with clear, non-overlapping responsibilities. If you’ve got an engineering brain, a methodical streak, and you love converting at speed, this one’s for you.

Have an engineering background or manufacturing experience
Bring estimating experience in metal fabrication services
Can read and interpret engineering drawings
Understand sheet metal, CNC, and fabrication processes
Have managed a high-volume quote pipeline from enquiry to close
Communicate excellently — phone, email, and online
Are methodical and disciplined about pipeline management
Are driven by commercial targets and love beating them
Speak English and can communicate professionally in Italian and/or French

Have hands-on experience with sheet metal or CNC
Have worked with Salesforce (or a similar CRM) at high volume
Have startup or industrial platform sales experience
Speak Italian and French — both
Speak Estonian
🛠 What you’ll do:
You’ll be the first point of contact for inbound business, converting new enquiries fast, owning returning customers’ RFQs from a pool of unmanaged accounts up to €30,000 Total Projected Spend (TPS), and making sure nothing slips through the cracks.
Your day-to-day includes:
Inbound conversion & escalation
Promptly following up on all new inbound enquiries, platform sign-ups and draft quotations and converting them into active RFQs
Qualifying inbound enquiries: spotting high-potential accounts (annual TPS over €30,000) and handing them to the Account Management team
Owning and rapidly converting new inbound RFQs from first enquiry through to order close
Passing accounts to Account Management after first order delivery
Order & quote management
Owning returning customers’ RFQs from unmanaged accounts up to €30,000 TPS
Independently reviewing, configuring and pricing quotations across sheet metal, CNC machining and fabrication
Identifying the most suitable production route for each RFQ by matching customer requirements with the right capabilities across Fractory’s manufacturing network
Flagging technical feasibility issues and guiding customers before quotation
Using phone, email and digital channels to close orders and maximise conversion
Salesforce & data discipline
Keeping all opportunities accurately managed and updated in Salesforce
Completing every account qualification field before sending a quote or escalation
Logging all customer touchpoints — calls, emails, platform interactions
Keeping pipeline data accurate and up to date at all times
